Our client dreamed of building a rammed earth home like the one she grew up in. The team delivered a premium family home in a beautiful setting, using natural materials, focused on meeting the precise needs of the client. The locally sourced soils for the rammed earth walls provided thermal mass, stabilising the temperature and the humidity inside the home, while protecting against the strong winds rushing up from the west coast. A range of stone, plaster and timber finishes on the exterior, as well as the terracotta tiles on the roof, give the villa its Tuscan style and solid connection to the land around the home. The interior shows off the Lawson Cypress framing in a white-wash, as well as unique details on the stairs and furnishings that make this home truly one-of-a-kind.
